Adult Learning Australia (ALA) is a national peak body representing organisations and individuals in the adult learning field.

NCVER Adult Literacy Resource

The information in this resource is based on research funded through the Adult Literacy Research Program (ALRP). The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) managed this research program on behalf of the former Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training (now Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR)). The ALRP was funded from 2002 until 2006.

ACARA

ACARA is the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority. It is the independent authority responsible for the development of a national curriculum, a national assessment program and a national data collection and reporting program that supports 21st century learning for all Australian students.

ACARA’s work is carried out in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including teachers, principals, governments, State and Territory education authorities, professional education associations, community groups and the general public.

NIACE – National Institute for Adult and Community Education

NIACE ia a charity, a company limited by guarantee and a member-led, non-governmental organisation. RaPAL – Research and Practice in Adult Literacy
