Webinar: Navigating an Adult Literacy Program in a Public Library
Presenter: Emma Kruszynski
Date: Monday, 16th November 2026
Time: 5:30 pm NSW (AEDT)
The webinar will be held via Zoom.

Abstract
Seeking literacy support is a courageous step.
Public libraries provide inclusive, welcoming and informal spaces for adult literacy learners, offering both learning support and opportunities for social connection.
This webinar explores our library’s journey in developing and delivering an adult literacy program shaped by community needs and continuous reflection. We will share practical insights into what has worked, the challenges we have encountered, and how we continue to adapt our approach to best support adult learners.
Our approach prioritises respect, adaptability, and personalised support. By cultivating an environment where learners and tutors grow together, we create a space where literacy learning, and social connection go hand in hand.
