The Conference Organising Committee is pleased to offer an open scholarship for support to attend the joint International ACAL conference being held in Melbourne from the 12th to 14th of September 2018.\u00a0<\/p>
The scholarship will include one registration, travel costs, accommodation and meals up to $800.00 in value. The registration covers the two days of the conference plus the preconference event at the Library at the Dock, and the social event on the Thursday evening. Partial scholarships will only be allocated to the registration costs.<\/p>
\u00a0<\/p>
CONDITIONS<\/p>
Applicants for the scholarship must<\/p>
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reside in Victoria<\/p>
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide a short rationale for your suitability to receive the scholarship on the attached form.\u00a0<\/p>
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Outline what you will gain from the conference,<\/p>
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 How you will benefit from the financial support<\/p>
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What you can contribute to relevant fields.<\/p>
\u00a0<\/p>
If more applications are received than can be supported, these criteria will be used to rank applications:<\/p>
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Evidence of financial support needed, such as employment conditions or change in circumstances<\/p>
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Contribution to teaching \/ learning in the field of adult literacy, numeracy, EAL provision<\/p>
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Your ability to maximize benefits of receiving the scholarship<\/p>
\u00a0<\/p>
Note: Committee members from ACAL and VALBEC are not eligible for scholarships. Delegates already registered are not eligible to apply.\u00a0 Partial applications are welcome \u2013 please specify what you need if applying for less than the full scholarship.<\/p>
