What is the Foundation Skills Professional Standards Framework?
The Framework describes the capabilities of the diverse field of practitioners who teach, train, assess and support foundation skills service provision in a variety of environments. It provides a consistent, shared language for talking about the capabilities required in foundation skills service provision.
Uses of the Framework
The Framework can be used for several purposes.
Describe current practitioner capability
Identify focus areas for workforce capacity building
Describe service delivery requirements
Describe and organise professional development options
The Foundation Skills Professional Standards Framework (FSPSF) is being developed to describe the capabilities of the diverse field of practitioners who teach, train, assess and support foundation skills in a variety of contexts.
The April webinars will provide an update on progress to develop and validate the FSPSF.
Each webinar will focus on a practical use of the FSPSF and explore ideas for supporting resources. Participants will have the opportunity to share their insights and feedback on the draft materials.
Please note that while the focus of each session varies, it is recommended that participants join only one webinar because much of the session content will be repeated.
