Most years ACAL provides a scholarship for someone to attend the conference who would otherwise not be able. In the past we have supported people from Timor-Leste, Vanuatu and people from Australian community organisations.
This year our ACAL Conference Scholarship will support an Indigenous adult literacy and numeracy practitioner to attend the 2016 conference and develop their practice and networks.
Applications must be submitted by 5pm AEDT, March 4, 2016.
The Western Australian Adult Literacy Council (WAALC) has funds from Lotterywest to support delegates from Western Australia seeking financial assistance to attend the conference. The Lotterywest funds may be used to cover registration and travel costs for residents of Western Australian who belong to one of the following categories:
volunteers
workers for not for profit organisations including Aboriginal community organisations
people enrolled in formal training/education
More - Certain categories of WA residents only
